Our story
About Red Boot Walks
Independent, local, and passionate about London's stories
How it started
Why Red Boot Walks?
London is a city of layers — centuries of history, culture, music and rebellion stacked on top of each other in every street and square. Red Boot Walks peels those layers back, and shares the stories that lie beneath the surface.
Red Boot Walks is independent, which means no corporate scripts, no rushed groups, no box-ticking. Every tour is researched, written and led by a guide who is passionate about the subject — someone who has spent years digging into the archives, walking the streets, and finding the stories that don't make it into the guidebooks.
From the Soho streets that shaped David Bowie into Ziggy Stardust, and the cobbled passages of Fitzrovia frequented by radicals, to the Camden venues that gave birth to Punk and Britpop — these are the walks I wish someone had taken me on.
Small groups
We keep our groups small so every guest gets a genuine experience — not a lecture to a crowd.
Independent & original
Every tour is independently researched and written. No franchises, no scripts borrowed from someone else.
Passionate guides
We curate and research walks about subjects we love, so we can share them with you.
Ends in a pub
Our walks end near great London pubs. Because the best conversations about history happen over a drink in a place that has history of its own.

Your Guide
Red Boot Walks are delivered by me, Manus. I'm a qualified, independent tour guide (Camden Tour Guide Association) with a passion for music, art and culture.
A Londoner, born and bred, I set up Red Boot Walks as a great excuse to spend more time learning about and walking through the streets of this great city. Join me on a Red Boot Walk, to discover hidden places, where movements were born and history was made. And, yes. I wear red boots.
See our walksLondon rewards the curious. There is always another story around the corner.
